This project all started with a shell I found at an antique mall in North Carolina. At the time, I was an antiques dealer, and I had instant seller’s remorse when it sold. I was lucky enough to have taken a photo of this shell, which became the reference image for the painting. From there, my scope turned to other interesting patterns and textures from the ocean. This small collection was ultimately produced into a flat lay print and stickers.
