Art | Artist Lauren Galinsky works with both traditional and digital mediums to create detailed and graphic images. Focusing primarily in wildlife and botanical painting, her bold, yet realistic style is inspired by vintage books and ephemera. Her work aims to generate awe and curiosity surrounding the natural world.

Bio | Growing up as a New York City native, Lauren Galinsky was fortunate enough to have access to a variety of opportunities which shaped her future artistic career. Shortly after graduating from SUNY Purchase College with a BA in Art History, she completed an internship in the paleontology department at the American Museum of Natural History. Galinsky then went on to complete a series of botanical and natural science illustration courses with the New York Botanical Gardens.

She made the move to Austin, Texas in 2014, where she currently resides. She works full-time out of her home studio in Kyle, Texas.
